Directionless Sketches

Habit is a funny thing. One day, it’s the only thing keeping you from spiraling — the numbing repetition of doing something over and over again — just like sketching is for me.

I don’t often draw people. I rarely have people in my paintings. I want to focus and study something else for a change. Haven’t we got enough pictures of people on the internet? But I find that I need more and more familiarity in the past few days. I’m drifting, and I need my familiars to get me through it.

So here are birds, figures, flowers… my familiars.
