Figure drawing for a week

Day 2

Drawing has always been my weak spot when it comes to making an artwork. I already know the colors I want to use for the painting. I already know how to blend colors, but without grids or separating my figures into parts, something just always looks… off. So I tried figure drawing for a week.

I subscribed to LoveLifeDrawing on Youtube and checked out their website. They have this month-long drawing challenge in partnership with Croquis cafe. It has been an amazing experience so far. I’m a week in, and I already feel more at ease with drawing.

Sure, I still have a long way to go, but I can see that I’m being more bold with my strokes. As of now, I haven’t seen any massive changes in my drawing skills. I just know that I’m more at ease with using my pencils. My proportions are still a bit off, but I have a lifetime more to improve.

Here are some of the pages from my sketchbook journal. Wish me luck!

Best of luck indeed. Do concentrate on your drawing. It is the foundation. Picasso was a master with a pencil or a charcoal.

Thanks a lot! I’m still quite struggling, but I’m practicing as often as I can. 🙂

        Practice is the word.
