This is my first acrylic painting since last year. I’ve been playing with watercolour, sure, but that’s just because it’s the easiest medium to grab when I’m on the go. This is the first time I’ve really sat down and worked on a painting for a long time.

I’ve been planning to paint a giraffe since last year because I want to give it to one of my college professors. She’s been very helpful to me, and she loves giraffes. I’ll probably surprise her with this painting on my next visit to Los Banos.
